In 1946, father and son, Mario and Robert Salvarezza, opened Coast Marine & Industrial Supply a marine safety and supply service business located on San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. Even as this Bay Area business flourished, gaining a reputation for safety and quality products, Robert began receiving calls and requests from Southern C
In 1946, father and son, Mario and Robert Salvarezza, opened Coast Marine & Industrial Supply a marine safety and supply service business located on San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. Even as this Bay Area business flourished, gaining a reputation for safety and quality products, Robert began receiving calls and requests from Southern California customers wanting a local, similar marine service of their own. Understanding their need, Robert headed south to San Diego, locating a perfect site on Main Street on which to build two warehouses to house a local marine company to provide service for our Southern California customers.
The front doors of Oceans West Marine & Supply opened on June 3, 1988, and for more than 30 years now we have welcomed customers from the smallest fishing boat, family yaht to the largest Naval vessel adhering always to our company’s goal of commitment to safety, quality and service.
